ABOUT US

Having spent the last twenty years living in Sydney, Australia, we decided it was time to come home to England, to get back to our roots.

Once we discovered Penvith Barns we jumped at the opportunity to own our very own piece of Cornwall with stunning views over some of England’s most beautiful countryside. And whilst we are very much “in the country” we are still really close to the lovely town of Looe with all its top class restaurants, pubs and a wide range of entertainment and things to do.

The Barns boasts the remains of a 13th century water wheel pit, which you can see under a glass floor in the office. There is rumoured to be a smuggler's tunnel running from it but as it is 15 feet below ground level, we haven't found it yet.

Since we have been here we have added chickens, to provide us and our guests with the very freshest eggs, to our collection of pet sheep and dogs. It’s becoming quite a petting zoo!

If you would like to visit and see all this, telephone us on 01503 240772 or contact us using the Enquiry Form
